Originally from Indonesia, Merwyn moved to Singapore in 2003 upon receiving an ASEAN scholarship as a science student. His education took a major turn as he decided to pursue his interest in design at School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University, majoring in product design. Since then, he continuously ventures into different design fields from conceptualising an award-winning beer packaging to developing a toy-sharing mobile application during a hackathon.
Merwyn is passionate about enriching people’s lives through empathetic, creative and rational ideas. He sees designing as equivalent to innovating and relishes the opportunity to work with fellow creative thinkers.
